What is a linear ball bearing?
Linear ball bearings are used to facilitate the movement of a load along a straight line in tasks that require high accuracy. The movement is of high precision towards a given direction and can move back to its starting position when required. The load capacity of a linear ball bearing is determined by the conformity, hardness and finish of the race and rolling elements. Conformity between the race and rolling element is achieved by ensuring a smooth finish of the surface. However, they need to be fitted into housing or drive systems. They are designed to ensure high positioning accuracy, long travel life, high load capacity, silent movement, and operate under low friction.
