What is an adapter sleeve?
Adapter sleeves, a kind of bearing component, are regularly used to locate bearings onto a cylindrical seating with a tapered bore. And they can be used on both smooth and stepped shafts. Additionally, adapter sleeves are easy to install and require no additional space on the shaft.
Bearings can be positioned at any position on the shaft when they are used on smooth shafts. Bearings can be precisely positioned axially when used on stepped shafts. And when used on stepped shafts, adapter sleeves are usually used together with an abutment ring and also facilitated bearing dismounting.

What is a withdrawal sleeve?
Withdrawal sleeves are used for mounting tapered bore bearings on cylindrical seating of stepped shafts. Sleeves are pressed into the bore of the bearing which is installed abut against the shaft shoulder. Usually, withdrawal sleeves are positioned on the shaft by lock nuts or endplates.

What is lock nut and lock washer?
A lock nut is usually used for fastening bearings on shafts. Lock nuts are also used for facilitating mounting bearing on tampered journals and dismounting bearings from a withdrawal sleeve.
